GO BUCKS!

Today we dressed our girls up in their Ohio State get-ups to root on the Buckeyes (& cousin Ben... Go Ben!!!!!). As you can see Claire is very excited about the Bucks first game. She can't wait! Sophie wasn't so sure! Thank you Uncle Shawn for the OSU outfit... we love it. Notice Claire's Brutus slippers. When you squeeze Brutus' head he plays the Ohio State fight song! GO BUCKEYES!

Boppy Time!

Claire is really starting to enjoy spending a little bit of time in her Boppy. She likes it on her tummy and back! She is really getting to be a big girl... smiling and cooing all the time. She's 6 weeks now! Where has our time gone?

Dog Fest 2006

Today we took Sophie to the Xenia Dog Park for the 2006 Dog Fest! We left Claire with Ben's parents so we could give all our attention to Sophie. Today was Sophie's day and she loved it! As you can see they had the pool open to the dogs! Sophie loved the kiddie pool, the deep adult pool... well, not so much! We had a great time with her today and she was worn out from all the fun. When we got home Sophie slept for 10 straight hours and I'm not exaggerating!

Sophie met another Retired Racing Greyhound at the Dog Fest! He was very sweet (all Greyhound's are sweet)!

Out Of Town Family!

Ben's Aunt Mary, her husband Fayzel, and two boys Michael & Matthew came from Port Angeles, Washington to visit and meet baby Claire! We had a great time visiting with them and introducing the newest member of the family to them! We wish we could see them more often. Ben and I went to Washington to visit them two years ago and had a wonderful time. They live on the Pacific ocean.... literally their backyard is the Pacific! Absolutely beautiful! Hopefully we can make it back there with Claire so she can see the ocean!

My Mommy's Birthday celebration!

Today we celebrated my Mommy's 29th birthday with Grammy & Grandpa Cutting. They brought over dinner and a birthday cake for Mommy! We had a great time!! Happy Birthday Mommy. I love you!

I'm One Month old!!!!

Today I am one month old. Wow... time flies! The first picture is my newborn picture. As you can see from the new pictures I am starting to smile a lot! I have gotten so big in one month. I'm about 9 pounds now. That's 2 pounds bigger than my lowest weight of 7 pounds. I love to eat. Mommy says I take after my daddy when it comes to eating! Every month mommy is going to take my picture on the quilt great grandma McDowell made for me so you can see how big I'm getting. Look at how much I've grown! Notice Sophie in the last picture. She doesn't want to be left out of anything!

Sleepy Time!

Here are just a couple pictures of Claire sleeping! I love the pictures where Ben is napping with Claire on his chest. They were both knocked out! I don't think there is anything sweeter than a daddy holding his little girl. I love it.... too cute!

Aunt Heather's Baby Shower

Today I went to Cobblestone Cafe in Waynesville for my Aunt Heather's baby shower given by my mommy's side of the family! We had a lot of fun and once again everyone wanted to hold me! I was a very good girl.... I slept the whole time and didn't make a peep! Less than 8 weeks until I get to meet my baby cousin! YEAH!!!! Aunt Heather opening up an Ohio State outfit for Baby Girl McDowell. I got the same outfit.... can't wait to wear our matching OSU outfits together and root on our cousin Ben. Ben is an Offensive Lineman for the Buckeyes. Look for him this year. He is #63 and his last name is Person. Go Buckeyes & Go Ben! Ben's mom gave us the OSU outfits! Thanks Cheryl!!!
This is my cousin Jill with her newly adopted son Sam. They just brought Sam home from China! We are so glad to have him as part of our family. We love you Sammy!

I was wide awake and happy during my photo shoot and they said they had never seen a three week old so alert and interactive! I am such a happy baby! Mommy had a very hard time picking out her favorite pictures because she thought they were all adorable!

We had Mark Garber take pictures of Claire last week and they have the proofs online. They are so cute!! I am going to have a hard time deciding which ones I want!! Family Time!

Today I spent the day at my Grandma & Grandpa McDowell's house. Everyone came over for dinner.... all my aunts, uncles and cousins. They all took turns holding me. They love me very much and even fight over who's turn it is to hold me. I must be special!!! I had a great time. I love my family!
This is my cousin Connor (who looks thrilled!) and cousin Lauren. Lauren loves to hold me & as you can see I love it too! Lauren is such a sweet girl and Mommy says when she is a couple years older she'll get to babysit me. I can't wait!!!

I was sound asleep when Lauren was holding me... she's a very good "holder"!

Here is Aunt Heather snuggling with me. I love to cuddle! Aunt Heather is going to give me a playmate in about 8 weeks. We can't wait to meet her (and find out her name... Scott & Heather are keeping that a secret and we're dying to know!).

Friends!!!

Today mommy's friends Beka & Katie and Beka's baby Elise came to visit us. We had a great time visiting with them. I was a very good girl until the end of the visit (when this picture was taken!!!) because I got very hungry and didn't want to wait any longer to eat! Thanks Beka & Katie for coming and bringing food and gifts. I can't wait until I am a little older so I can play with Elise. I know we will be great friends!!

Power Outage

Last night we experienced a power outage.... fortunately my swing operates on batteries. I love my swing! Mommy had to strip me down to my diaper because the AC wasn't working since we had no power. Mommy & Daddy were shining flash lights on me when they took this picture. I was such a good girl during the black out. I just watched my mobile and listened to the music on my swing. I was pretty hot though! Luckily the DP&L guys came out and fixed everything before bedtime.

Soft Sophie!!!

Claire & Landon had a great time playing with Sophie. Landon had a hard time deciding whether to pet Sophie or Claire. They both have very soft hair!! As you can see Claire thinks Sophie is a comfy pillow. Sophie is such a sweet, patient big sister.

Book Worm

Ms Claire is a real book worm, loves all the classics.... She had her 2 week Doctors appointment today and was given a clean bill of health. She now weighs 8lbs 6oz (compared to 7lbs even 2 weeks ago), she is 21.5 inches (vs. 20.25 at birth) and is 50th percentile for weight, 75th percentile for length. She already is displaying the effects of all those tall genes!
