Cinderella

To celebrate Claire's 4th birthday, I took her to go see the Rodgers & Hammerstein production of Cinderella at La Comedia! Nuna and Aunt Kristen were able to come with us. I bought the birthday package that included a Happy Birthday balloon, a yummy birthday cake, and they even announced it was her 4th birthday on stage! How FUN! We all had a really great time eating and watching Cinderella! I was kind of surprised at how engrossed Claire was with the show. She was mesmerized by all the music, dancing and beautiful costumes! What a fun way to celebrate my own little princess!

Grandma & Aunt Flo

The girls and I visited with my Grandma McDowell for our monthly lunch date. Today we had a couple extra visitors! My Dad and Great Aunt Flo (my Grandma's sister) joined us! Flo was up from Kentucky and will be staying with my Grandma for awhile. We had a very nice visit! Papa & the girls!

Pool Time

As I have previously mentioned, my big brother Shawn and his family just moved back to the area. We are sooooo excited to have them back home! One of the fun perks to their arrival is the in-ground pool that came along with their beautiful home! The girls have been to the pool twice now and talk about it all the time! The pool is definitely a bonus, but more than anything we just LOVE having our family back!

Eat Mor Chikin

My friend Cynetta and I took our kids to Chick-fil-A for FREE 'chikin'. All you had to do was dress up like a cow and you got a free meal! Thanks to Cynetta for making the all the shirts! We had fun and the best part of the afternoon was getting to meet Cynetta's new baby girl, Grace! She is a doll... what a sweet baby! I loved holding her for a bit. Nothing like holding a newborn!

Little Girls, Little Girls

This week we had my nieces Caroline, Catherine and one of my friend's daughter, Presley, over for an afternoon. It was a hot day so I bought a slip-n-slide so the girls could cool themselves playing in it. They really had so much fun! I kinda felt like Miss Hannigan from Annie and even broke out into my own rendition of 'Little Girls, Little Girls' several times! Really though... we all had a great time and they were very SWEET little girls!

Claire had the good idea of putting the slide in front of the slip-n-slide! What FUN!

Independence Day Celebration

We had our 11th annual Independence Day celebration yesterday! We always enjoy having our family over to celebrate our country's freedom! We are proud to be Americans!

Last week we spent two days at the pool with all the McDowell girl cousins! Aunt Heather was nice enough to invite all of us to tag along! We really enjoyed hanging out with the girls and soaking up the sun!
