Possum Creek

Ben & I took the girls to Possum Creek, one of our favorite Metro Parks. It was a pretty day and a perfect day for some outdoor exploration! This is the blind leading the blind here! Ha!!!

Daddy & Claire had better luck catching a fish!

So scenic and pretty at Possum Creek!

I love this pic of Daddy & Claire fishing with the geese in the background!

Another favorite! Got lucky with the spacing and timing on this pic!

We let the girls sit in the back with the window open when we drove from the pond to the farm. That was pretty exciting stuff for them!

We got to see the baby pigs! Very cute and stinky!

One of the workers let us come into the Donkey's stable and pet her! She was a very friendly donkey!

We always have to make a stop at the playground!

Mother's Day visit w/ Grandma

We had a fun time with Grandma McDowell around Mother's Day! I love that I have the opportunity to spend time with her and share my girls with her. She has been a huge support to me throughout my life! I'm so thankful for her love and wisdom. She is such a prayer warrior and I can always count on her to pray for me and my family! The girls were collecting clover for Grandma so she found a little vase and the girls put all their "flowers" in the vase just for Grandma! She loved it!

Playing ball with Grandma! We love her!

Mother's Day Evening

I forgot to post these pics from Mother's day evening and they were too cute not to share! We went to a park and went fishing, flew kites and took a nice walk. I couldn't have asked for much more on my special day!!!
Anna caught a fish! The girls really do love fishing!

Daddy was about to release the little fishy! They like touching it (Ewwww!).

Claire is learning to reel in her catch! She does great!! She actually taught me how to do it!

Grammy and the girls on the fishing pier!

Claire flying a kite!

Anna thinks the best thing in the world is to walk Sophie! Thankfully, we have such a wonderful pup!

Watching the girls learn to roll down hills was quite possibly one of the sweetest things I've witnessed. The pure joy they got from such a simple activity was precious! They rolled and rolled and rolled and....

Cousins Photo Shoot

Last year Heather & I had photos taken of the girls (photos by Lori Moore Photography). The proceeds of the photo sessions went to the Trinidad missions trip from our home church. So when we had the opportunity to do it again this year, we jumped at the chance! It's a great and worthwhile cause and we think it's neat to get photos of the little girl cousins!
Our girls! All four of them were born between a two year span. Claire was born in July 2006 and Catherine, the baby of the group, was born in July 2008.

Such silly girls!

Our sweet babies!

The big sisters! These two are something else!!!

FREE Bowling

There is a really neat program called Kids Bowl Free. www.kidsbowlfree.com
We were fortunate enough to have a bowling alley within a minute of our house that is participating in the program. I had so much fun bowling with the girls. We are excited about all the bowling we're going to do this summer!

Claire is actually a really good little bowler and she really enjoys it!

Anna thinks it's great to use the kids ramp!

She is also good at rolling the ball!

Keeping score!

Mother's Day Lunch

On Mother's Day we went to church and then out to eat for lunch. It was a nice afternoon with the women in our lives. We are so very thankful for their loving, godly influence!

My Mom with her four youngest grandchildren!

Grammy and her two favorite little girls!

Madilynn's Birthday Tea

The girls were invited to a birthday tea for Madilynn, our friend from church. It was such a sweet birthday party and of course, Claire & Anna had a great time playing with all their friends!
Madilynn, the birthday girl! She is so cute and we loved the birthday doll cake her Mommy made for her!

The girls enjoying the tea party!

Anna sipping on her "tea" (lemonade!). She's a natural!

Craft time!

Madilynn was excited to open up her gifts!
Happy Birthday!!!!

Princess Tea

We had a wonderful Mother's Day Princess Tea at church! We are so thankful to the women that put forth so much time, thought and detail into making this such a special time for us. It was a great reminder to all of us that if we are a daughter of the King of kings then indeed we are a PRINCESS! My hope and prayer for my girls is that they become daughters of the King at an early age. Would you be willing to pray for Claire & Anna and also for me and Ben as we shepherd their little hearts? The girls with their Grandmothers at the tea! I am so glad they were both there!

I just had to take a photo of the adorable table decorations!

I LOVE this banner! How neat to know we are all royalty... true princesses if we are a Christ follower!

There was a cute and fun craft making princess photo frames!

My sweet princess!

Mother's Day Project

I found a REALLY cute Mother's Day craft project and finally got up the nerve to attempt it with my 2 & 3 year old (it was the 2 year I was worried about!). Anyway, I am so happy with the way our gifts turned out! The girls loved helping me and both of them were perfect little helpers!!! Happy Mother's day to our mothers and our grandmothers. We are so blessed to have you in our lives! We LOVE you!!!!
Before the craziness began!

Step I- Claire's handprints to make pink flowers on the canvas.

Step 2- Anna's purple handprints.

The finished project (many other steps were not photographed!).

We made FOUR!

The girls had the most fun after we were done using all the leftover paints and supplies!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you wonderful mothers out there!
