More Egg Hunting!!

These pictures are from an Easter egg hunt at a nursing home in Oakwood. Ben was off on Good Friday so he was able to go with us. It was actually a really pretty day. Claire enjoyed finding the eggs and eating the candy! We enjoyed watching her!

They had an indoor and outdoor egg hunt!



This picture cracks me up! Claire is literally running away from the Easter Bunny! Once again I had to hold Claire to get a picture with her and the Bunny! The Bunny is holding Anna in the pictures. She didn't mind the Easter Bunny at all!

Easter Egg Hunts

Claire went on 4 official Easter egg hunts, not to mention the multiple practice egg hunts Grammy set up for her! I have to say... she was quite the pro at finding eggs. She follows directions so well and realized pretty quickly there were some good "treats" in the eggs. She would shake the egg and say "opem"! She sure does have a sweet tooth!

This egg hunt was at a local church that Grammy & Papa took Claire to. It was a bit cold, but they had a lot of fun activities inside.

The church had breakfast and lunch food available. Claire is all about the food!

They also had games and prizes, a live band, a clown and an Easter Bunny! In this game you're suppose to throw these little velcro animals at the eggs and if they stick you win a prize. Claire watched a couple kids and when it was her turn she promptly walked over and stuck the velcro animals on the eggs! She got a prize!!

Grammy also took Claire to an egg hunt at the library. Here Claire found an egg on the book shelf!

Claire loves this little girl. She also goes to our church. Claire tries to act like a big girl when she is around her!! She is very sweet with Claire and reads to her!

Easter Dinner

After church our family went to a golf club that my brother belongs to for Easter dinner. It was nice for everyone to be together and our mom's didn't have to worry about cooking for an Army! The food was delicious and we had a great time!

Claire liked looking at the bunny from a distance. I had to hold her to get a picture of her with the bunny!

Happy Easter!

Just a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Easter! This is such an amazing holiday when you really stop to think that we are celebrating the miracle of the Resurrection of Jesus. We are so thankful that the Lord sent His only Son to earth to die a horrific death on the cross for ME and YOU so we could have the opportunity to spend eternity in Heaven. Without the resurrection from the grave this wouldn't be possible. He is risen and HE LIVES! Amen for that!

I found matching dresses and sweaters for the girls! I didn't plan it, but I also wore pink and white. The girls were all coordinating!

My Girls... ALL Three!

I just realized I didn't have any pictures of my three girls together... Claire, Anna & Sophie!

Claire loves this "doggie chair", as she calls it! I bought the chair at the Pottery Barn outlet when I was pregnant with Claire and it's been in the basement. The other day we were down there and she saw it and she attempted to drag it up the stairs. I brought it up and she sits on it and plays on it all the time now. She also wants Anna to lay on it with her. Anna seems to really enjoy the doggie chair as well! They just look so cute laying there together!

Sophie & Anna! Sophie is so sweet with the girls. I haven't met a sweeter, more gentle dog in my life. She is beyond patient with the girls and is just the perfect family dog!

I absolutely love this picture of Claire & Anna. They are so cute together!

Claire is borderline obsessed with Sophie. When Sophie goes outside or Ben takes her on an errand she asks for Sophie and calls for her until she is safely back on the couch. It's very sweet! Claire hugs and kisses her all the time. Poor dog!!

Visit with Friends

Recently my best friend Maria came into town so she stopped by to visit with her mom Beth, her twins Bruce & Brianna and niece Sophia. She hadn't met Anna yet so it was fun to show her off!! Claire enjoyed playing with the kids. It was quite an active place with 4 kids under the age of 3 and a baby!! It was a good time and we can't wait to see them again soon!

Happy Birthday Jillian!

At the beginning of March my mom and I took the girls to Illinois to visit Shawn, Kristen, Connor, Lauren & Jillian. It worked out that we were there on Jillian's 7th birthday so we were able to celebrate with her at Chucky Cheese's. We had a fun trip and thankfully Claire and Anna were excellent both there and back. Anna slept most of the way and Claire slept some, but when she was awake she was in a great mood and only asked to get out a couple times!

While in Illinois we were able to go to one of Connor's basketball games. Connor did a great job, scoring 11 points!

The only thing that brought Claire any joy at Chucky Cheese was the balloon!

Claire screamed during this whole ride... needless to say we didn't do the rides after that!

Boonshoft

A couple weeks ago Claire & I went to Boonshoft with a bunch of my friends from the NICU and Heather & Caroline. I dropped Anna off at my mom's house so I could spend some one on one time with Claire. That really hasn't happened since Anna's birth. Claire had a great time discovering and playing! She really enjoys Boonshoft. Ben & I decided we are going to buy a family membership this summer. It is a great place for kids and we are fortunate to have it so close!

This car was very popular with the kids. They were all vying for the driver's seat! Connor is the driver here with Claire & Caroline in the front and Noah in the back!

SOOOO cute!

Claire really enjoyed the grocery store. She quickly found a cart and began loading it with lots of goodies!
