Saturday we went to the Butterfly Festival at Cox Arboretum. Claire is still a little young to really understand and appreciate the butterflies, but it was such a pretty day we wanted to spend some time outside! It was nice to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature!!

Whooo... down the slide we go!

After the festival we ate at Bravo. Claire LOVED the food, especially the spaghetti! Sorry, the pictures are a little out of order!
They had mounted police at the festival and Claire had her first up close encounter with a horse! One of the police officers was nice enough to let her sit on the horse with him. She was definitely a bit more leery of the officer than the horse!
We ran in to some friends of ours at the festival. Miranda's daddy, Kelly, worked with Ben at Arthur Andersen back in the day! I had a hard time getting the girls to look at the camera!

Daddy & Claire inside the butterfly house!

One of the pretty Monarch butterflies in the house.

What a beautiful day for this! Isn't Cox wonderful? I've been there many times for field trips and just love all of the neat exhibits! It's a great place for kids to learn! So glad you guys could enjoy it and be together as a family!
I have not heard of the Butterfly Festival. What fun! Beautiful.
A lovely area that Dayton provides to its' citizens. I wish it was closer to Springfield. Glad you had a great day to go and enjoy nature with Claire. This is what family is all about. Don't you agree?
