Today is a such special day as we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus. It is amazing to me that Jesus was born to die and that he died for us so that we may have to opportunity to live eternally in Heaven with the Lord. On Easter we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb. HE LIVES! Isn't that awesome! I pray for all my friends and family that they know personally the depth of love that my Lord has for you. That he sent his ONLY son to die on the cross so we won't perish, but have everlasting life in heaven. It's so simple and it's a free gift. Christ paid our debt on Calvary. He would have died on that cross if you had been the only person in the world. That is hard for me to wrap my head around, but it's true! Thank you Lord for the cross and your ultimate sacrifice.
We went to the Good Friday service at church tonight and afterward Claire opened up her Easter basket from Grammy & Grandpa. We are going to be out of town this weekend so she opened it a little early!

What beautiful words Michele...they say so much! God's ultimate sacrifice is so hard to truly grasp...Jesus died for all of us, yet rose from the dead and is LIVING! Praise God for his gift of 'life' through salvation, which only comes from the true belief in Jesus Christ and of his birth, death, and resurrection! Everylasting life through God's only son...WOW!!!!!
We will miss you guys on Sunday! Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
I am so glad you posted this...we should remember God's sacrifice and I think it is even harder to grasp once you are a parent. Now we know how much the sacrifice was. And even more than we can know as God's love is a perfect love! Thanks for this beautiful reminder!
Oh,Claire.... what a pretty Easter basket from your grandparents. And what fun to dig into it!!! You sure got lots of wonderful things in your basket. You look very sweet in your Easter outfit, also.
Your mommy wrote the real message of Easter and that's what we hope all adults and young people will realize and accept.
"HAPPY EASTER TO THE CUTTINGS"
